Comparing Notes brings stars of the West End and Broadway to Crazy Coqs. In a lively and informal mix of performance and conversation host Edward Seckerson will be getting up close and personal with these musical theatre luminaries, exploring the stories behind the songs and the personalities behind the artistry.
For this show, Edward will be joined by exciting young star, Desmonda Cathabel (recently co-starring in the Sondheim Old Friends Gala at the Sondheim Theatre, and in Maria Friedman: Legacy at the Menier Chocolate Factory).
Desmonda Cathabel
Desmonda is the recipient of the British Council GREAT Scholarship and recently moved from Indonesia to train at the Royal Academy of Music in Musical Theatre. Before coming to London, she did her undergrad in Communications Studies at Universitas Indonesia and worked for a couple of years in corporate jobs as a copywriter, until the pandemic made her take the risk of following her dreams. Recently co-starred in the Sondheim’s Old Friends Gala at the Sondheim Theatre and other theatre credits include: Maria Friedman: Legacy (Menier Chocolate Factory); Maria Friedman and Old Friends Celebrating Sondheim (The Crazy Coqs, London); Treason: The Musical (PCJ Entertainment workshop); Picnic, Hello Jerry!, Things I Know to be True (Royal Academy of Music); Company, Dreamgirls, West Side Story (Jakarta Performing Arts Community); Nyanyian Cinta Negeri (Jakarta City Philharmonic).
