Sunday 9 March 8.15pm at Kings Place
For our grand finale, join us for an enchanting celebration of Richard Rodgers, hailed as one of the greatest popular melodists of all time. Writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson teams up with Radio 3’s Petroc Trelawny to explore Rodgers’ iconic collaborations with Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II and to recount the story of Julie Andrews’ tribute album to the legendary composer. Under the musical direction of Ryan MacKenzie, Olivier nominees Julian Ovenden (South Pacific, My Favourite Things) and Laura Pitt-Pulford (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) bring Rodgers’ timeless music to life in an evening of words, stories, and unforgettable melodies.
